Grandkids, Glasses and Dog poop

Day 5

Tonight I received an email from two of my grandkids, EmmaRae and Jaxson.
They sent their Christmas list.  It wasn't unsolicited, I had asked my daughter and son to have them send me one.  I limited them to 3 requests only, so you can imagine there was lots of thinking going on.
EmmaRae is typing and Jaxson is telling her what to type for him
I have to share their email....too cute!

                                            love, jaxson

You have to know that Jaxson, about 6 months ago, started not kissing ANYONE on the lips, not even his parents.  He would go to great lengths to avoid it.  Sooooo, that's a very big thing for him to say.

I hear my other grandkids, Destiny, Erica and Jacob are working on theirs and we should have those by the end of the week.  Can't wait!

Finally have my glasses adjusted correctly!  Whew!  If you are ever at Fort Sam Houston, the staff at the optical shop at the PX is WONDERFUL!  It is just so hard for someone who doesn't have to rely on glasses to function, to realize what a pain it is when they are not right.  What a happy relief it is to put them on again and be able to see without feeling like I'm cross eyed and not have an instant headache.  Dave has been pretty understanding through the last 4 weeks of my whining about it.

Ok, dog poop.  We are dog owners.  Snickers and Skittles are, shall we say, very regular.  They are not small dogs. We are the kind of dog owners that clean up after our girls.  Some do not, as I discovered walking over to the office to put some postcards for the grand kids in the mail and cut through some grassy areas.  After I got back I realized I had stepped in a dog owners non-compliance.  Yuck!  It just seems such a simple thing...to be responsible, but unfortunately, some people don't seem to think so.

Still no gate today.

SHOUTOUT: to my sister-in-law Frankie and her husband Dave.....yeah, yeah, yeah, Oklahoma won....Pffft!
