Dirt and Dust

Wet dirt.
This was me coming back from San Antonio after picking up our youngest at the airport.  This road up to our gate is about a mile long.  A mile of mud!  It doesn't take much rain to turn the road into this morass.  But on the other hand it only takes a day or two of sun to turn it back in to a hard packed, pockmarked, rough riding road again.
Then it gets windy and you have 200 gravel trucks coming and going on the road and the dust just hangs in the air.

That's dust not fog.

It gets in everything.  We have an old tablecloth we use to put over the dishes in the drainer to keep them from getting dusty before we put them away.  I also have an old hand towel we put over the cooking utensil pot on the counter to keep the dust off of those.
We'll probably be cleaning dust out of cracks and crevices for months!

Ok, I'll leave you with a nice picture of a red dirt country road.

See ya on "E" day!
